Rubber News reports that Kenda Rubber Industrial Co. Ltd., Taiwan’s no. 2 tire maker, has increased passenger tire capacity at its Taiwan headquarters’ site and will expand car tire capacity at its Shanghai and Tianjin facilities. The expanded consumer tire capacity will reach 15 million units/year by 2013. Most of the production is intended to satisfy domestic demand.
