Jiangxi Black Cat expands into precipitated silica production

Free Paper reports that Jiangxi Black Cat recently completed a new 20,000 tonne/year production line for precipitated silica in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China. According to the article, this is the first phase of a project that will eventually add 60,000 tonnes/year of precipitated silica capacity at the site, which the company expects to generate annual sales revenue of approximately RMB 1 billion (~$150 million).

Over the last five years or so, Jiangxi Black Cat has emerged as one of China’s largest carbon black producers based on an aggressive expansion program. The site at Jingdezhen already supports one of the company’s carbon black plants.
