Solutia announces price increase for Santoflex 6PPD

Solutia Inc. is initiating a price increase across its Santoflex® antidegradant line of rubber chemicals of up to 15 percent to offset significant increases in raw material costs. The increase applies to orders shipped on or after July 1, 2011 and will be subject to existing contracts.

“Solutia is committed to the antidegradant business and to meeting the needs of our customers around the world,” said Roger Owen, global business director for Solutia’s Technical Specialties division. “The prices of all the key raw materials used in the Santoflex antidegradant portfolio are at record highs. This price increase is necessary to help offset the continued escalation of these raw material costs.”
