Kordsa Global has announced that it will close down its tire cord factory in Izmit, Turkey due to falling demand in global markets. The plant produces nylon and polyester tire cord. Kordsa is the world’s largest supplier of nylon and polyester industrial yarn, fabrics and single-end-cord, serving primarily tire markets.
