Ecolomondo has begun shipments of recovered carbon black from its new TDP facility in Hawkesbury, Ontario, Canada, the company announced in a press release. The first shipment of 23 metric tons of rCB was received and approved by the Ecolomondo's main offtake client, and a second shipment of 23 metric tons was then ordered and delivered. Ecolomondo also is expecting to receive quality approval from another major offtake client. Once fully operational, the Hawkesbury plant is expected to process 1 million scrap tires per year to produce about 5,000 tons of tire pyrolysis oil, 4,000 tons of recovered carbon black, 2,000 tons of steel, and 1,200 tons of process gas.
