Carbon Black World Conference to be held in Rome

Carbon Black World 2010, IntertechPira’s 11th international carbon black market development conference, will take place on 16 – 18 November 2010 at the Crowne Plaza Rome – St. Peter’s Hotel in Rome, Italy.

The conference has a packed agenda with a 17 speakers over two days. Notch Consulting’s contribution is a paper entitled “Current Conditions & Global Outlook for Carbon Black,” which will look at the industry as it emerges from the unprecedented downturn of 2009 into what is emerging as a very strong growth year in 2010.

Other papers will focus on the carbon black and feedstock situations in specific countries, including: China – Professor Bingyan Li of the China Carbon Black Institute India – Dr. Soumen Chakraborty of Himadri Chemicals & Industries Russia – Igor Levenberg of Makrochem Iran – Mehrdad Khansari Atigh of Doodeh Sanati Pars

The conference also features a look at the status of Gulf Coast feedstock from David Tauber of Tauber Oil, and the outlook for European feedstock from Vince Guercio of CTC International. Lorenzo Zullo of European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturer’s Association will address the impact of chemical legislation on carbon black in rubber goods. Other papers will address production technology issues, including energy recovery and particulate emissions. Energy recovery and emissions abatement in carbon black manufacture will also be the subject of the preconference seminar, which will be held on Tuesday, November 16 and will be conducted by C.P. Natarajan of Gandpads Consulting.
